Rossinver Youth and Community project was established in March 2007 as a community group and later became a registered company-Rossinver Youth Project Limited. It was established as a response to the need to provide Rossinver with a centre for local people, youth and visitors to meet and engage in social activities. They aimed to encourage the regeneration of the area, and develop Rossinver into a place that is welcoming, more inviting to live in; a place in which to rekindle old friendships and to make new ones. There was a clear need within the community for a central community facility as they lacked a suitable facility to cater to the needs of all of the community. As a result they proposed to construct a community resource centre at Sraud Connolly, Rossinver of modest proportions, with a total floor area of 450 sq. metres, comprising a hall, changing and shower facilities, several medium sized meeting rooms, a kitchen, toilets and storage spaces. They were successful in securing LEADER funding for the project. The funding has resulted in a new state of the art community centre which has now become the hub of the local community.
