Leitrim Development Company wish to appoint an Early Years and School Aged Services Lead Educator to support the delivery of Early Years programme and School Aged Service. He/she will be part of a team with responsibility for the development and delivery of the ECCE programme and School Aged service.

Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained in our Early Years and School Aged service, ensuring practice is underpinned by the Aistear curriculum and the National Quality Guidelines in accordance with Síolta standards. You will be working in a supportive team environment and training will be available.
Your principal duties & responsibilities will be: Organise, plan and deliver a child lead curriculum.· Record keeping and observations to be carried out on key children.· Supporting compliance with relevant regulatory bodies.· Maintain room and equipment to ensure the health and safety of the children at all times.· Maintain strict confidentiality.· Adhere to Leitrim Development Company policies, procedures and always ensuring best practice

Qualifications· A minimum qualification of level 7 or higher in Early Years and Education or equivalent.· Experience in a similar role.
Duration: This position is available as a full-time (33 hours per week) or part-time (16.5 hours per week) position with a fixed term contract. The continuance of the contract is subject to on-going Government funding, and satisfactory work performance and conduct.
Salary: Competitive
Probation: There will be a period of probation (a) The period shall be six months but the CEO / Board may at their discretion extend such period. (c) The person appointed shall cease to hold the position at end of the period of probation unless during such period, the line manager / CEO has certified that the service of the person is satisfactory.
