Job Summary: Leitrim Development Company works closely with the HSE mental Health teams in Sligo, to support people under the Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP). Individual Placement and Support (IPS) which offers intensive, individually tailored support to help people to choose and find the right job, with ongoing support for the employer and employee to help ensure the person keeps their job.

Location: Based in both Sligo (Co-located with HSE Mrrkiev House Northside community Centre and in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim) covering Sligo. Some related travel requires a car owner with clean driving license.

Position: Fulltime 9am-5pm specified purpose annual renewable contract

• Prior employment services or other relevant experience.
• A good understanding of the principles and practice of IPS (and also Social Role Valorisation (SRV)
• Experience of working with and supporting vulnerable people or those who have experienced mental ill health with an ability to be innovative and be resourceful as a creative problem solver and able to empathise with job seekers needs and empower them to succeed in the workplace.
• Experience of supporting people who are unemployed or other disadvantaged groups to access required training and supports and to obtain and to remain in employment.
• Knowledge and experience of recruitment and employment principles, methods, techniques and resources. Knowledge of interpretation of welfare benefits and disability/employment related benefits and the Irish welfare system and supports.
