Head of Finance, Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG
Head of Finance is a full‐time role based at Church Street, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. You will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and budgets for the Company and for leading, managing and improving the organisation’s finance function. The individual filling this position will be a strong team player with a proven track record in leadership, communication and influencing skills.
- Assist the CEO and Board of Directors in ensuring that Leitrim Development Company is run in a financially sound and robust manner.
- Ensuring that Leitrim Development Company meets its financial reporting responsibilities to its funders.
- Developing and implementing effective financial management reporting, policies and procedures throughout the organisation and setting strict reporting timetables.
- Developing I.T. management information systems which transform data into relevant information for management decisions.
- Identifying cost reduction measures to the CEO, Audit Committee and Board as appropriate, and implementing agreed measures throughout the organisation.
- Leading the Finance team on a day to day basis to include the completion of annual performance reviews to ensure the strategic goals of Leitrim Development Company are met.
- Maintaining relationships with the organisation’s auditors and key stakeholders
Desirable qualifying criteria:
- Qualified Accountant / Third level Finance related degree or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- A minimum of five years of combined accounting and finance experience in a similar role, with at least three years as team manager or assistant controller
- Experience with SAGE Accounting Systems
