The Leitrim Recreation Forum held a public event to present an overview and openly discuss the new (draft) Recreation Strategy for county Leitrim on Monday 24th (Manorhamilton) and Tuesday 25th October (Carrick on Shannon).

This presentation gave a detailed account of how the new strategy was developed, some key findings from the public surveys and a high-level overview of the objectives of the new strategy.

The Chairperson of the Leitrim Recreation Forum, Mike Feeney, expresses gratitude to all members of the public that have engage in the consultation process to date, and looks forward to launching the completed document in the very near future following this final consolidation stage of development.

The development of new recreation strategy for Leitrim is funded under the Rural Development LEADER Programme, with support from Leitrim County Council.
