The LEADER Programme in Co. Leitrim was formally launched by Minister of State, Minister Michael Ring TD on Thursday 27th October in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon. Two large community opening events then took place on Monday 7th November in The Bee Park, Manorhamilton and Thursday 10th November in The Bush Hotel, Carrick on Shannon. Both community events were well attended with almost 200 people present. Our LEADER staff gave presentations on the programme outlining the types of funding available, who can apply and deadline dates for Expression of Interest. Leitrim Local Community Development Committee members were also in attendance at the meetings.

Community organisations/groups and businesses are now invited to make Expression of Interests under the Programme. Currently Tourism/ Festivals and Social Inclusion Expression of Interest Calls are now open until Friday 9th December. All those wishing to apply for funding, must complete the Expression of Interest Form in the first instance and ensure it is submitted by the deadline date. Enterprise, Town Enhancement and Rural Environment capital projects will open for Expression of Interest later in 2017.
