RDP LEADER funding was awarded for the development of self-catering tourism accommodation on a farm in Aughavas by renovating and extending an unoccupied 75 year old farm cottage. Costs included construction services, engineering services, electrical supplies/equipment and furnishing/fixtures/fittings. The accommodation is now Fáilte Ireland approved and available to rent through discoverireland.com and booking.com. This project has strengthened the future sustainability of the farm and has brought back to use, a derelict residential building. It has resulted in spin off effects for the local towns and villages and brings new life to a rural area. Test
