This project involved the refurbishment of a under utilised restaurant (not open to the public for many years) into tea rooms with investment in small scale building works, catering equipment, furniture, fixtures and fitting, professional fees and group marketing. Coupled with the on-site Jinny's bakery and McGuire's Cottages tourism accommodation complex this is a unique offering. It is opposite the floating boardwalk at Acres Lake and tourists, visitors and locals exploring the Blueway can visit the tearooms. This has attracted additional tourists and visitors to spend time in Drumshanbo which has spin off effects for the local economy
