Dromahair Playground, Adult Gym and Walk

Dromahair Arts and Recreation Centre Committee (DARC) secured funding for the development of a state of the art playground, outdoor gym and walkway in the town of Dromahair. DARC is a community group made up of representatives of up to thirty two groups/clubs in the Dromahair area. There was a clear need for recreational facilities in the Dromahair area as there was no other community recreational facilities, only a community pitch. As part of this project, Dromahair Arts & Recreation Centre Committee purchased the lands adjoining the existing Park. This facilitated the extension of the walk to 900 metres and construction of the all-weather synthetic surface. The new facilities are available daily for use by the four local national schools and by groups/clubs and the general public. These facilities are all inclusive from the youngest toddler to our most senior citizens.
