Community Funding

- Does your local community group want to develop, enhance or upgrade community services or facilities particularly for hard to reach communities?
- Is your community group interested in protecting our natural environment and water resources?
If the answer is yes to these questions, your community group or organisation may be eligible to apply for funding for your Community Project.
Funding is available to a wide range of community groups and organisations in the county. Support is available for various community services, village enhancement, community tourism, environmental protection, social enterprises and specialised training.
Types of projects which may be eligible for funding include but are not limited to
- Community infrastructure, services or facilities for hard to reach communities
- Access facilities to local amenities
- Local enhancement schemes
- Renovation of derelict buildings for community purposes
- Farmers' Markets
- Town/village centre improvements
- Environmental initiatives
