Rural Business Funding including Green Energy Funding

Funding available for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Measures for Businesses

This funding includes capital supports for existing rural businesses seeking to reach new markets, expand, innovate or diversify in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is also funding available for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Measures, which assist businesses to reduce their cost base or exploit new market opportunities. Examples of projects could include but are not limited to;

Installation of Solar PV system
Installation of Rainwater harvesting systems
Technologies that deliver sustainable energy alternatives, for example, biomass heating, etc.

*Please note not all businesses will be eligible for funding as LEADER cannot fund mainstream businesses including conventional retail operations, childcare, healthcare, nursing homes. It is best to check with us if you are unsure about whether your business is eligible for funding.

How to Apply?
The submission of an Expression of Interest Form is the first step in applying for LEADER Funding. It is your opportunity for your proposed project to be presented to the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) who will determine if your project is eligible for funding and if you can advance to the next stage of the Application Process. Please ensure that you read the details set out above. Once you submit your fully complete Expression of Interest Form Leitrim Development Company will contact you to outline if your proposed project is eligible for funding or not and if you can proceed to full Application.
