Bespoke Heritage Training Programme

Leitrim Development Company recognised that many community groups and residents of the county were interested in enhancing and creating awareness of the importance of heritage in the County. As a result funding was received for the delivery of a bespoke heritage awareness training programme developed by Leitrim Development Company. The training was targeted at community groups consisting of three separate courses; Connecting Communities with Wildlife in County Leitrim, Valuing our Built Heritage in County Leitrim and Focus on our Past in County Leitrim. The training included fieldtrips and a bat walk. In total 86 participants completed the programme. Overall this training programme equipped the participants with key skills in progressing with heritage projects in their local area while also raising awareness of the importance of heritage in the county.
