Cloone Tidy Towns Committee received LEADER funding for the construction of the newest additions to the Bothar Na Naomh Trail which includes; a Tóchar/causeway, a Fort structure, a Crannóg, Willow sculptures, Fulacht fia and the extensive planting of native broad leaf trees. The 59 acre area of land is a tremendous resource to Cloone village and the surrounding areas, being utilised as a hub for Sport, Recreation, Heritage, Angling and Nature appreciation. This latest project aims to encourage the heritage appreciation of the natural environment, to encourage biodiversity and make people more aware of their environment.
