-Leitrim Glens Cycling Signage

This project included the design, manufacture and installation of 24 cycling signs for the Leitrim Glens Sportive Cycling route in North Leitrim. The cycling route is also used as part of the Leitrim Glens Sportive Cycling Event. These signs are continental style cycling road side markers which are sited at the bottom of each major hill climb. The promoter Leitrim Glens Cycling Club run the successful Leitrim Glens Sportive Event which takes place in August each year. This project will have spin off effects for the local economy as it will attract additional cyclists to County Leitrim, both domestic and overseas throughout the year. The Leitrim Sportive Event will profile the route and promote the route which in turn will attract further visitors to the county. Tourists would include a mix of families seeking activity holidays, as well as regular tourists who want to enjoy the scenery by bicycle. This project was a cost effective way to promote County Leitrim as a cycling destination.
