Job Vacancy | Afterschool Assistant (Homework Support) 7.5 hours per week

Leitrim Integrated Development Company CLG invites applications for the position of Afterschool Assistant to provide homework support and assist in developing and directing varied activities involved In Mohill Community Youth Project.

Job Summary: Work with targeted young people in the area to develop and deliver youth work programmes and supports.

Responsible to: Mohill Community Youth Project Co-ordinator.

Location: Marian College, Mohill, Co. Leitrim

Position: Part-time (7.5 hours per week). You will be required to work 2 days per week in line with the academic school term. Work hours are usually between 13:30-17:15 Monday and Wednesday. You may also be required to work during school holiday programmes. The nature of this work requires flexibility in working hours outside the norm from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care & Education
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Occupational First Aid/First Aid Response (FAR)
  • Garda vetting will apply.
